
Ensemble de lancement Multilanceurs (ELM): this is the name given to the historic launch pad for the Diamant rocket, at the Guiana Space Center, as it prepares to embark on a new life.
The Diamant site before development work :
In a few months’ time, the site, which is currently being refurbished, will offer services to host different types of operations: demonstrations of experimental vehicles such as Callisto and Themis, and commercial microlancer launches, for which 7 private operators have been selected. In preparation for these new activities, CNES, which is in charge of the future ELM-Diamant facility, is developing resources common to all future users, such as access roads, power supplies to the site, infrastructure for ergol storage, a general coordination office, security resources, etc.
